Fix the Asura. They look revolting. That's the only thing I can complain about for Guild Wars 2. Beyond that, I'm sure the game will be spectacular.

Might want it in GW2 as well.
Makes it easy for party communications, instead of typing TS/Ventrillo server id's and pass 100 times a day.
I think all VoIP admins know the hassle to make a guide with images on their guild forums, and still got to explain each member how to connect.

Another nice thing would be a configurable in-game messenger for pm's.
So if you like to get messages to pop up in a seperate window, you can set it in options.
Some options could be:
- Display pm's as now in the chat
- Display all pm's in a new popup window (with option to change size and location)
- Display pm's for each player in a new window

In other words, something alike a mod called VIM for WoW

Default GW lvl race

Ive been playing guild wars since the beta version came out and one of the things i liked best was that you dont have to lvl race yourself to lvl 99 or 999,999 etc... and while prehaps staying on lvl 20 is a bit limited and GW2 developers should prehaps raise the lvl bar a bit it also made us use our brains and find more tactics to defeat certain conditions and limitaions we had from staying at lvl 20 and facing lvl 20-32 monsters.
another benefit is that you also develop more charecters that way and groups will stay more balanced since you wont have charecters who are lvl 30playing with charecters who are lvl 85 and are so much stronger then they are.

Lightbulb More stuff for guilds please

At the moment I don't see the big difference between being in a guild or not, if you aren't on the top list of PvP.
I would like to see some more added for guilds.

Some ideas for that could be:

1. Armor and Weapon crafter, where guilds can make custom stuff.

2. Some kind of war/siege.
Maybe guildhalls could be made into some kind of small villages, where you build, design and improve with your guild by doing quests, gathering reputation etc.
At the same time you have some more area around it, where strange creatures live. Those will then from time to time horde up and attack your village.
Some of the heroes players don't use, could then be added there permanent, to defend the village.
For GvG it may be something to have those creatures to annoy the 2 fighting guilds, as an option of course. GvGvE battles.

3. Guild skills that have some enviromental effects.

4. A penalty system for leaving, kicking a member, resolving a guild and stepping out as leader.
Lineage2 has something, but I think a better system could be made.

5. Traveling merchants, that randomly travel between the guild villages and sell stuff.

6. Special npc's that travel between the guild villages as well and offer quests.
This could be affected by player affected changes in the global zones.

7. GvG Siege battles, where guilds can choose to bring additional npc forces, like archers, katapults/devourers and other of the special player controlled npc's that we have met throughout the GW storyline.
Guild skills could be a part of this, but should be made so all guilds have a chance to get the same options.

8. If trade/crafting skills are planned, it could be in some way be part of guilds as well.

9. A "Guild Herald", where the guild leader and officers can add announcements and news.

10. A "Guild Event Manager", where the guild can add event schedules and register/sign up for them.

11. A guild chest, where the members can add stuff that they want to giveaway. To get one of these items, players will have to do 1 on 1 fight/s with some npc's, something like the bison tournament, but the npc's should adjust to the challengers level, exp and skills.
Skills bars on those npc's should have a random function as well, so you don't fight the same build very often.

12. A title board that shows maxed out titles for all members.

ACTUAL buildings. Things you can ENTER. I'm all about the world, and feeling like your character is in it. Never entering buildings (I'm not talking gigantic structures & dungeons) in GW is one of the things that makes it feel superficial in terms of the interaction. Going into the stores & houses would add greatly to the feel of being in the GW universe.

Auction House of course..

lots of character design options. Cutting down on the number of clones adds greatly to your character being YOUR character.. More face, hair, skin, accessory, body height, shape, maybe even voice options (your grunts & voice overs can be gruff, normal, refined etc.. This is very difficult for voice overs I realize)

Lots of visual item/weapon/armor content. This sounds really broad but I think it is important with games like Guild Wars. When making a game that allows players to more easily gain access to max armor, the only thing left to work for is the LOOK of the armor/weapons. It's easy in GW to get a "perfect" sword, and that is one of the great things about it. But because of this, the weapons & armor can become bland. To add to the individuality & personal goals to the game, adding more looks to the armor & weapons is a big thing.

Right now GW has a decent number of skills that might as well be passive, and are actually referred to as passive sometimes.
I think that in GW2, they should have the 8 skill slot system they have now, but also let you select 2 or 3 real passive skills to take, which don't show up on the bar. That way, all of the active skills that go into the 8 slots can actually be active-type skills.

Some examples of passive-type skills would be like:
Assassin - Critical hits cause bleeding for x...x seconds. Critical Hits
Ranger - You have an x...x chance to block attacks. Expertise
Monk - You gain x...x health regeneration. Healing Prayers
Warrior - Your attacks deal x...x additional damage. Strength
Necromancer - You gain x...x energy whenever you sacrifice health. Blood Magic
Elementalist - You gain x...x additional armor. Earth Magic
And so on.

I don't know if anyone brought this up before... since I can't be bothered to read through this entire thing right now, but I'd like a profession that used hand and foot techniques. At the start they could be weaponless, but eventually would get metal, or spiked gloves/ steel boots, etc. Maybe have them be like a mix between a sin (chain of attack skills) and either a derv or warrior.

the ability to create completely CUSTOM armor, make it so you can put armor togethor using a LARGE VARIETY of parts, each one requiring materials, this would allow us to create armor which reflects us, and give our character originality........or recreate armor we like from anything, ie if i want to make my guy look like a walking tank, or bass ( <--from megaman game) or even look like a armored rat, i should be able to, it would make the game that much more intresting

This was suggested for GW quite some time ago, so I'll repeat what I can remember here.

Libraries

Whether added as a portion of a city, or as some other common area, a repository for the lore of the game, and accompanying deepening of game lore would certainly be a worthy addition to the game. Much like the bones occasionally found in the Crystal desert, perhaps scrolls, books, or even pieces of old road signs could be found and collected (rarely) and eventually compiled by a player. Simply speak to the Keeper of Records NPC in the library and you will be rewarded for your contribution accordingly.(Perhaps a token amount of gold depending on what the information is, or even a skillpoint upon occasion).

After a while of simply turning the scrolls in, you should have a healthy library full of the lore of the GuildWars world.

But that's just my two cents :ninja;

Here's something I'd like to see changed for GW2... I'd like to see PvE only skills as the ones you cap from bosses or sometimes get as a quest reward, but normal elite skills should be buyable from skill trainers.

It would be nice if things player do for guilds is recorded somewhere.

Like chipping in factions, or buying npc's for a hall.

I don't mean just for the guildleader to see who to keep or give thanks to, but for others to see how the leader and the officers are behaving too.

an example:
-
Say I invite a player to a guild and it turns out this player is very dedicated and enthusiastic about it. He/She buy npc's for 200K , recruits 20 very active members and contribute 5K factions every day.

It turns out noone else does the same and the player finally descides to leave to find a guild with more likeminded attitude.

Now a casual guild(nothing wrong with that) sits with more members and a finer hall than it would ever have done withouth this former members constribution but with no record of his mark.
-

Would be nice if it was listed somewhere, or that if you open a conversation with the rare material trader it would have a subtext: "enlisted to the hall bye Jane Doe January 5th 2007" or something like that.

It would also be nice if it some how stuck with him/her. Maybe in a title track "Guild medal of dedication" for example.

Perhaps it should be recorded how a guild treats its members as well. Maybe in the form of:
Kicks members inactivity average: 2month
Kicks members minimum faction average: 100/day
kick/invite % :9.1
etc...

I understand this will have many unwanted effects like maybe new players have a hard time to get a shot, or once shamed always shamed status on guilds and so forth. Theese are just thoughts.

Somehow it feels wrong that "deeds go unrecorded" though.

What do you all think?

I kind of like that idea, as an officer in an AB guild, it's hard to know who donates the 5k per day and who doesn't.

A few ideas:
1. clothes that have no armour+advantage just for shows, partys etc.
2. guild leaders are all powerful when in there guild hall i.e can kick anyone out of the hall for x amount of time to punish them.
3.More things to do in a guild hall, more decoration, guild leader can customize everything pick and place chairs etc.
4. Throne- only the guild leader can sit here.
5.Expand the amount of members a guild can have in it or the amount of alliances you can form.
6.The 8 primary skills used for combat and 8 more environmental skills that effect things around you freeze water/ smash over trees etc.
7. mounts!!!!! i want my norn riding a great black dragon!
thats it for now! elipses elipses elipses exclamation mark

Post Collector Drops

I got an idea for an implementation of collector drops, like minipets etc.

- A fixed low drop rate no matter if your solo or in a xx mans party (0.0x%)
- It can drop randomly from all monsters in GW2
- It will not be the same as what you get in other ways (1 year b-day present, magazine release and so on)

It can't be farmed for, and everyone has the chance to get it.

Default transfer from gw1 to gw2

Suggestion-
For all of us old time GW players, who have multiple accounts -
Make it possible to link multiple GW1 accounts to a single GW2 account
so our future chars can be one big happy family

The thing that will put me of guild wars 2 alltogether is if they make it so in areas where there are monsters there will be other people. I hope it stays with people just in towns unless in partys. I wont be playing if they change that, i hate games like it you can never find places to farm or w.e
